HGB05-Evelyn Brooks- Member TX SBOE - How to Get it Back

Evelyn Brooks is the Texas State Board of Education representative for District 14.
She has extensive experience educating and helping youth to develop a Biblical worldview, challenging them to strive for excellence, to think independently, and to develop self-discipline and self-control. She has encouraged students to master facts while at the same time discovering their own individual talents and aspirations.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Bowie State University and began her teaching career in Maryland, Prince George’s County as a first-grade teacher. Brooks taught for Denver Public Schools for five years before teaching in Fairfax County Public Schools. She served as a substitute teacher in Texas for Lewisville ISD and has extensive experience as a homeschooler.
Evelyn has been a homemaker, a classroom teacher, a tutor, a Bible teacher, the founder of a private school, an orchestrator of a STEM science camp, and a youth development facilitator.
