Start a New Garden in Texas - Part 1 - Solarizing the Bermuda Grass


Over the past several months, we've ben trying different ways to "kill the devil", well... at least trying new methods of getting rid of the Bermuda grass, nut grass (nutsedge), and other weeds where we want to put in our garden.


We've been experimenting with solarizing tilled ground, solarizing grass that's been simply mowed and then covered, as well as the process of occultation (using tarps) to kill the spawn from hell... but I digress.
If you are interested in learning how we took the challenge of creating a sterile bed to create a garden space - this is the first video in our series of building a garden in North Texas, from the ground up.
